Hours: 8 AM-4:30 PM with over time as needed
 
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / Office Clerk to support our accounting team and help keep office operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong organizational skills, and can communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this position performs clerical and accounting support duties, including answering phones, managing records, preparing reports, maintaining filing systems, and assisting with office correspondence. The Accounting Clerk will also help with inventory, scheduling, and ensuring day-to-day office operations support the mission of AG RX.
Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing excellent Customer Service experience by answering all incoming telephone calls, forwarding of calls to appropriate personnel or department, welcoming on-site visitors and providing informational support when needed
  • Processes application work orders – close recommendations in Agrian and generate deliver tickets for billing
  • Performs billing functions as requested for support/back-up
  • Performs customer service functions as requested for support/back-up
  • Performs accounting tasks, including invoicing and budget/expenditure track/fertilizer receiving
  • Files, emails, manages in-coming / out-going mail and prepares documents as requested
  • Record-keeping of all documents
  • Receives, manages, and processes company sensitive documents, such as intercompany transfers, insurance, and DMV registration/vehicle maintenance to ensure compliance
  • Provides administrative support and contributes to team effort
  • Manages the ordering and inventory of office and janitorial supplies
  • Schedules meetings, travel arrangements, and/or lunches, as requested

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience – Minimum of 2 year’s clerical experience, agriculture field preferred.
  • Education – High school diploma or general education development (GED) degree.
  • Language Skills – Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and/or written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratios, rates, and percent.
  • Computer Skills – Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be able to efficiently communicate using Email.
  • Communication Skills: Must speak clearly and effectively in positive manner in all situations; listens and gets clarification, responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills and participates in meetings.
