Hours: 7am-3:30 with over time as needed

About the Role

AG Rx is seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Maintenance & Repair Technician to support daily shop and yard operations. This role works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor and plays an important part in keeping equipment, tools, and the work environment safe, clean, and fully operational.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who takes pride in their work, follows direction, and is eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with repair and rebuilding of pumps, motors, tanks, and small engines
• Support shop activities by preparing tools, materials, and work areas for mechanical and welding work
• Clean, sand, wire brush, and paint equipment and components as needed
• Maintain shop and yard cleanliness, including organizing tools and disposing of debris
• Safely operate hand tools and basic power tools
• Operate forklift (or obtain certification within 30 days of hire)
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and maintaining yard organization
• Prepare equipment for repair, storage, or field use
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE at all times
• Report unsafe conditions, hazards, or equipment issues to the Shop Supervisor
• Complete assigned tasks accurately, safely, and in a timely manner
• Work collaboratively with shop and operations teams to support overall efficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of shop or mechanical experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and take direction
• Valid Class C Driver’s License required
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Shop environment with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and equipment
• Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs occasionally
• Must be comfortable working in a physically active, hands-on role
